Ease of Use
SimpleLift™ is reliable and easy to operate for most users.
LiteRise® is best if you prefer lighter touch control—or if you have limited hand strength or dexterity.
Lift and Tilt Operation
SimpleLift™:
Push and hold the button on the bottom rail to raise or lower the blind
The lift mechanism is in the bottom rail
Requires a little more effort than LiteRise®
LiteRise®:
Just push or pull on the bottom rail to move the blind—no buttons involved
The lift mechanism is in the headrail
Requires less effort to operate
Tilt controls:
SimpleLift™: Tilt wand can be installed on either side
LiteRise®: Tilt is located on the left side only
Design Differences
Bottom Rail Design:
SimpleLift™ has a color-coordinated aluminum bottom rail with a push-button on the front
LiteRise® uses a bottom rail made from the same material as the slats, color-matched or coordinated for a seamless look
Size Limitations
SimpleLift™ supports wider and heavier blinds
LiteRise® is limited to smaller or lighter blinds due to its simplified internal design
Compatible Options and Exclusions
Design features:
Decorative tapes: Only available with LiteRise®
Remote tilt (PowerView®): Available only with SimpleLift™
Motorized lift: Not available with either system
Product exclusions:
Some products do not support one or both systems:
-
SimpleLift™ is not available with:
Modern Precious Metals® ½″ Decor®
-
LiteRise® is not available with:
Modern Precious Metals® ½″ Decor®
Modern Precious Metals® 1″ Celebrity®
EverWood® 2″ Renditions™
Note: If you're not sure which system is available for your specific product or material, ask your Hunter Douglas dealer for confirmation.
Closure Appearance
SimpleLift™ has a slightly larger bottom rail, which may make the blind appear to close a bit less tightly
LiteRise® has a slimmer rail that gives a more snug closure appearance in some cases
Tip for Smooth Operation
Note: If you hear a grinding noise when using SimpleLift™, it likely means the button wasn’t fully pressed before you tried to move the blind. This doesn’t usually cause damage—but fully pressing the button before lifting or lowering will prevent the sound and make operation quieter.
