Summary:
Vane closure expectations related to the Silhouette® and Nantucket™ collection.
Applies To:
Silhouette®, Nantucket™
When vanes are closed on a Silhouette® or Nantucket™ shade:
The fabric vanes overlap, blocking outside visibility.
They do not form a perfect seal along the full length of the shade.
Light leakage may be visible, especially toward the bottom of the shade.
This is consistent across all lift systems and the front shade on A Deux™.
How Vane Closure Is Measured
Measured as the distance between the front and rear fabric, 6 inches above the bottom rail.
Shade must be fully lowered and vanes tilted to the closed position for accurate measurement.
Slight variation in closure is normal, as vanes close at different angles depending on fabric style and shade height.
2" Fabrics (except Bon Soir™):
5/8" closure for shadings under 60" tall
7/8" closure for shadings over 60" tall
2" Bon Soir™:
5/8" closure for all heights
3" and Quartette™ 4" Fabrics (including Halo):
1" closure for all heights
Vane closure reduces visibility and light but does not create a complete blackout. Differences by fabric size and style are expected and part of product performance.
