Smart Home Compatibility
Any product with PowerView® Automation and a PowerView Gen 3 Gateway is compatible with numerous smart-home devices and systems. The PowerView Gateway integrates with many of the most popular systems on the market.
Compatible devices include Amazon Alexa, Apple® Home via Matter, Google Assistant (using native integration or Matter), Brilliant, Control4®, Crestron®, Elan®, Josh.ai, RTI, URC®, and Savant®.
Connect to Amazon Alexa
Amazon Alexa lets you play music, listen to the news, and check the weather. Now, you can also control your Hunter Douglas window treatments. Learn more about PowerView Automation with Amazon Alexa. Enable this feature directly in the PowerView App.
Activate PowerView Shades or Scenes with a simple voice command. Try saying, “Alexa, open Bedroom Left,” “Alexa, close Living Room,” or “Alexa, turn on ‘Good Morning.’” A PowerView Gateway is required to integrate with Amazon Alexa.

Connect to Apple® Home
PowerView Gen 3 Automation now works with Apple Home using Matter integration. Open and close your PowerView shades using the Apple Home app and Siri. Use your voice to control PowerView shades and other HomeKit-enabled accessories with Siri.
Try saying, "Hey Siri, open Living Room shades," or "Hey Siri, set Living Room Left shade to 50%."
Please note: A PowerView Gateway and Apple Home Hub (Apple TV or HomePod) are required to integrate with Apple Home.

Connect to Google Assistant
The Google Assistant, powered by Google Home, makes it easy to control your PowerView Scenes using voice commands. You can enable this feature in two ways:
Native integration through the PowerView App
Matter integration, available through the Google Home app
The native integration is more feature-rich. It automatically imports your existing Scenes from the PowerView App and is ideal if you mainly want to trigger preset Scenes. The Matter integration is best for controlling individual shades—especially if you use multifunctional styles like Top-Down Bottom-Up, Duolite®, or Aura™.
You can set up either option depending on the level of control you need.

Google Home can also recognize different voices in your household, giving each person a personalized experience.
Try saying:
“OK Google, tilt Sun Room to 25 percent”
“OK Google, open Bedroom Left”
“Hey Google, close the shades”
Note: To use Google Assistant with PowerView, you'll need a PowerView Gateway and a Google Assistant–enabled device linked to your Google account.

About Matter Integration
Matter is a new universal standard designed to connect smart devices from different brands and platforms. It improves compatibility and simplifies setup, allowing your smart home products to work together more reliably—both now and in the future.
PowerView® Gen 3 supports Matter for two key use cases:
Apple® Home – Matter is the primary integration path
Google Assistant – Matter is an optional path for expanded shade control
If you're deciding between connection methods, Matter is especially useful if you want to control individual shades rather than just activate Scenes.

Note: While other Matter-enabled services and controllers are available on the market, only Apple Home and Google Assistant have been fully tested with PowerView. Samsung SmartThings has been lightly tested and may offer partial compatibility.
