Before You Begin
To use PowerView Scene control on your Apple Watch and iPhone, make sure the following conditions are met:
-
The PowerView App is installed on both your iPhone and Apple Watch.
Tip: If Automatic App Install is turned on in your watch settings, the PowerView Watch App is added by default.
You have access to your Home or PowerView Account linked to the Scenes.
A PowerView Gateway is required for Apple Watch Scene control.
Scenes must already be created in the PowerView App.
Add Scenes to Apple Watch
Open the PowerView App on your iPhone.
Tap More in the bottom-right corner.
Select Integrations > Add Integration > Watches & Widgets.
-
Choose the Scenes you want to add.
You can select Scenes from multiple Homes and PowerView generations.
Arrange the selected Scenes in your preferred order.
Tap Back to exit.
Note: Scenes will automatically sync to your Apple Watch and also appear as options when using the PowerView iPhone widget.
Refresh the PowerView App on Apple Watch
If your newly added Scenes don’t appear on the Watch:
Press the Side button to open the Dock.
-
If the PowerView App is not in the Dock:
On your iPhone, open the Watch App.
Go to Dock, then choose Favorites or Recently Accessed.
If using Favorites, tap Edit, then tap the green plus sign next to PowerView.
Return to the Dock and locate the PowerView App.
Swipe left on the app and tap the red X to force close it.
Press the Crown button to return to the home screen.
Tap the PowerView App to reopen it.
You’ll see a loading screen that says “Add Scenes From the Menu in the PowerView App.” The app will sync to your phone and load your Scenes.
Note: If you have multiple Homes or Scenes, you may need to repeat the sync process more than once to load all content.
Add the PowerView Widget to iPhone
-
Hard-close the PowerView App:
Swipe up from the bottom of your screen (or double-click Home) and swipe the app offscreen.
On your iPhone, swipe right to access the Today View.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Edit > Customize.
Find PowerView App and tap the green plus sign to add it.
Rearrange widget order if needed, then tap Done.
The PowerView widget will now appear in your Today View. If no Scenes appear, tap the gray plus icon to return to the app.
To configure Scenes:
Go to More > Integrations > Add Integration > Watches & Widgets.
Select your desired Scenes (you can pull from multiple Homes and generations).
Arrange the order and tap Back.
Tip: If you also use an Apple Watch, selected Scenes will sync to both the Watch and iPhone widget menu.
Note: Scene names may be shortened (truncated) in the widget display. The color shown for each Scene reflects the one chosen in the PowerView App—coordinating colors by room can help differentiate similarly named Scenes.
Optional: Add Widget to Lock Screen
Go to Settings > Face ID or Touch ID & Passcode.
Toggle Today View and Search to ON under "Allow Access When Locked."
When your phone is locked, swipe right to access your PowerView widget for quick Scene control.
