Overview
A secondary Hub can be added to boost the signal of your PowerView® Network, especially in larger homes where additional range is needed. This allows you to connect more shades without relying on multiple repeaters. Secondary Hubs connect through Ethernet and are automatically configured during the setup process.
Preparation
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- A working Ethernet port available near the secondary Hub location
- The PowerView® App installed on your mobile device
- Your primary Hub already connected and functioning
Tip: Do not connect the Hub to power before plugging in the Ethernet cable.
Connect the Secondary Hub
- Plug the secondary Hub into the Ethernet port (A) using the supplied cable.
- Connect the Hub to the power source (B).
Note: The Hub must remain plugged in during the entire setup process. Do not unplug or move the device until setup is complete.
Allow the Firmware to Update
Once powered, the Hub will automatically retrieve and install the latest firmware. During this process, the LED on the front of the Hub will cycle through the following colors:
- Blinking aqua
- Solid amber
- Blinking amber
After the update, the Hub will reboot on its own.
Tip: The update process may take several minutes. Wait until the LED turns green before using the Hub.
Confirm Setup Completion
When the LED turns solid green, the Hub has successfully configured itself as a secondary Hub. No additional pairing is required.
