Important Notes Before You Begin
Motor PCN 1015930 is used for both left-hand and right-hand stack configurations.
Do not delete the shade from the app or factory reset it before motor replacement.
After the physical motor is replaced, you must also configure it in the PowerView® App.
Remove the Panel and Motor
Unplug the power from the wall
Remove the panel in front of the motor
-
Disconnect the bottom weights
Grasp the first two panels
Rotate the panel being removed to release the snap side
Disconnect the bottom weights
-
Remove the panel hanger
Grasp the hanger on both sides
Gently twist and pull down to release it from the carriers
Store the panel on a flat, clean surface
Unplug the barrel connector from the motor
Remove the motor cover by pulling it straight down
Unplug the receiver cable from the motor
Remove the receiver from wherever it’s mounted
-
Release the motor assembly
Insert a screwdriver into the slot on the underside of the drive assembly
Twist about ¼ turn to release the spring latch
Pull down gently to remove the motor assembly
Install the New Motor, Receiver, and Cover
-
Plug the new 10-pin receiver connector into the new PowerView motor
The connector only inserts one way—do not force it
Route the power and receiver cables through the strain relief
Slide the cover over the motor, guiding the cables into the side slot
-
Continue sliding until the cover snaps into place
Caution: Ensure the cables are not pinched
Mount the Receiver
Peel off the backing from the receiver’s double-sided tape
Mount the receiver next to the motor on the headrail
Ensure no wires are pinched between the receiver, bracket, or headrail
Connect the DC Power Supply
Make sure the receiver is connected before applying power
Plug the motor’s barrel connector into the extension cable
Plug the other end of the extension cable into the DC power supply
Set Travel Limits
Use the receiver’s button to fully traverse the track open and closed. This step sets the end limits for the motor’s movement.
Configure the Motor in the App
Once the physical installation is complete, you’ll need to finish setup in the PowerView App.
Open the app and go to the Home containing the replaced shade
Select the shade and begin the motor replacement process
Follow the guided steps to select the shade type, calibrate the motor, and restore the Room and Scenes
