Replace PermAssure® Wand for Somner® and Vertical Solutions®

Summary:
Field-replace a PermAssure® wand on Somner® and Vertical Solutions® vertical blinds. You can also replace the hook and sleeve if needed.

Applies To:
Somner®, Vertical Solutions®, PermAssure®

1. Remove the existing wand. Push the wand sleeve up onto the stem above the wand hook.

2. Detach the wand by sliding it off the horizontal leg of the wand hook.

3. Mount the new wand by sliding it onto the horizontal leg of the wand hook.

4. Pull the wand sleeve down so it fully covers the section where the wand hook passes through the wand. The sleeve should be seated firmly.

5. Optional – Replace the sleeve and hook:

   • Remove the existing hook from the stem.

   • Remove the existing sleeve from the stem and slide on a new sleeve.

   • Place the sleeve as high as it will go on the stem, then attach the new hook.

   • Attach the wand as in steps 3–4.
