Summary:
If the light on a Gen 1 PowerView® Repeater is red instead of green, it means the antenna button was held down when power was applied. The fix is simple and can be done without tools.
Applies To:
Legacy PowerView® (prior to Fall 2022)
A red light on a Gen 1 Repeater means the antenna button was accidentally pressed while plugging it in.
To fix it:
Unplug the Repeater, then plug it back in. The light should now be solid green.
If the light is still not green, press and hold the button on the Repeater for six seconds, until the green light turns on.
Once the light is green, the Repeater is ready to be joined to a PowerView® network.
