System Behavior and Movement
Automated Traverse Only
Motorized arches and angled shades do not have a manual override. All movement is controlled through the PowerView® App, remote, or automated Schedules.
Split-Speed Motion (Angled Shades With Rectangular Sections)
When an angled section is paired with a lower rectangular section to create an extended angled shade:
The rectangular portion travels at full speed.
The angled portion moves at half speed.
Once the rectangular section reaches its closed position, the angled section completes its movement.
This behavior is intentional and cannot be adjusted.
Smooth Glide and Quiet Operation
Shades begin and complete movement using a controlled gliding motion. This protects fabric integrity and helps maintain alignment, especially at narrow or tapered points of the shape.
Light Gap Coverage
Headrail Extender End Caps are included with angled shades to help reduce light gaps at the corners. These components improve light control and overall performance in specialty shape applications.
Charging and Power Information
Battery-Only Compatibility
PowerView® Gen 3 arches and angled shades support all power options except the Headrail Mounted Battery Wand for PowerView® Angles. This option is not available due to mounting depth requirements.
Internal Rechargeable Battery Option
PowerView® Gen 3 arches and angled shades are available with the Internal Rechargeable Battery, which helps reduce mounting depth requirements for specialty shape windows.
Motor Orientation
Angled shades: Motor and power cable are always located on the right side.
Arched shades: Motor and power cable are always located on the left side.
Charging Notes
The Specialty Shapes Charging Clip is required when charging operable specialty shape shades equipped with the internal rechargeable battery. The clip supports the weight of the charging cable while charging in place.
To charge the shade:
Snap the charging clip onto the swivel charging adapter.
Connect the swivel charging adapter to the magnetic charging port on the headrail.
Attach the specialty shapes charging clip onto the headrail to support the cable.
Arch Charging Orientation
For arches, the swivel charging adapter connects upside down to match the orientation of the charging port.
Angle Charging Orientation
The charger LED (located at the power outlet) indicates charging status:
Red LED: Battery is charging.
Green LED: Battery is fully charged.
