To use the Platinum App, you must have a Platinum Bridge or Gateway and a compatible Apple® or Android™ device.
- Apple users: Download from the App Store
- Android users: Download the app here
View software instructions:
Connect Your Device
- Make sure your device is connected to the same WiFi network as your Bridge or Gateway
- Enable location services for the Platinum App
- Open the app again to detect your system
Identify Your Device Type
You can distinguish your hardware by the color of the LED:
- Gateway = Blue light (Includes serial port and supports home automation)
- Bridge = Green light (No automation support)
Both work with the Platinum App.
Fix Connection or Sync Issues
Try the following steps:
- Confirm your device is on the correct WiFi network
- Ensure location services are enabled for the app
- Reopen the app and verify connection
- Replace all batteries in the shade
- Try jogging the shade through the app
- If shades don’t respond, resync in the app:
- Apple: See page 7 of the Apple Software Guide
- Android: See page 6 of the Android Software Guide
Reset and Reprogram Shades
- Press and hold the manual button on the shade headrail for 12 seconds
- Shade will jog once at 6 seconds and again at 12 seconds
- If using a roller shade, do not operate again until limits are reset
- Follow this guide: Set PowerRise Limits
- Run the shade fully up and fully down using the manual button only
- Reprogram the shade to the remote using these instructions
- Resync in the app (Apple or Android guide)
