Support
Before You Begin
- Confirm the shade's manufacture date matches the method you're using.
- Make sure the remote is joined to the shade and functioning.
- Perform a six-second calibration: Hold the programming button for 6 seconds. The shade will jog, then cycle through the top and bottom limits.
- Verify that no group numbers are selected on the remote.
- If the remote doesn’t enter programming mode, replace the batteries.
Set or Adjust Top Limit
A custom top limit should be set when the bottom rail of a window treatment docks into the headrail too tightly or when the bottom rail aligns with a custom trim. This process can also be used to align the top limits on side-by-side window treatments.
For:
- Silhouette A Deux and Nantucket A Deux (After April 17, 2018)
- Silhouette Standard & Duolite (After Sept 17, 2017)
- Nantucket Standard (After Jan 15, 2018)
- Use the remote to select the shade's group.
- Hold the programming button on the shade for up to 5 seconds.
- While holding it, press and release OPEN on the remote, then release the programming button.
- The shade will move to its top limit and the LED will turn solid red (fine adjustment mode).
- Use OPEN, STOP, and CLOSE to fine-tune the top position.
- Hold STOP on the remote (6 seconds) to enter programming mode (blinking lights).
- Press and release OPEN to save the new top limit (LED turns off).
-
Exit programming mode by holding STOP for 6 seconds or letting it timeout.
*This video shows the process on a Designer Roller Shade, but the steps will be the same for a Silhouette or Nantucket shade.
For:
- Silhouette A Deux and Nantucket A Deux (Before April 17, 2018)
- Silhouette Standard & Duolite (Before Sept 17, 2017)
- Nantucket Standard (Before Jan 15, 2018)
- Run the shade to the current top limit.
- Press and hold the programming button (no longer than 5 sec). While holding it, press and release OPEN, then release the button.
- The shade will jog to confirm the previous top limit is cleared.
- Use the remote to position the shade at the desired top limit.
- Hold STOP to enter programming mode.
- Press and hold the programming button (no longer than 5 sec). While holding, press and release OPEN.
- The shade will jog to confirm the new limit.
- Exit programming mode.
Clear Electronic Top Limit
Use this process to revert to the default hard stop limit.
- Run the shade to the current top limit.
- Ensure no groups are selected.
- Hold the programming button (no more than 5 seconds), and press and release OPEN.
- Release the button. The shade will jog, confirming the upper limit is cleared.
- Hold the programming button for 6 seconds. The shade will jog, then recalibrate.
Set or Adjust Bottom Limit
A custom bottom limit should be set when the shade does not lower all the way to the desired position, the shade drops too far, causing light gaps, alignment issues, or interfering with objects like window sills or trim. This process can also be used to align the bottom limits on side-by-side window treatments.
For all shades covered above:
Follow the same steps listed under Top Limit but substitute CLOSE for OPEN.
Set Vane Closed Position
The vanes closed position should be reset when:
The vanes appear to be partially open even after the shade closes
There is a visible light gap when the vanes should be fully closed
The shade stops prematurely and does not rotate the vanes fully shut
Vane closure is misaligned across multiple shades.
Use this to set a custom stop point for fully closed vanes.
- Run a six-second calibration reset.
- Confirm the remote is in programming mode.
- Use CLOSE to move the vanes to the desired closed position.
- Press and hold STOP until lights blink.
- Press and hold the programming button. While holding, press CLOSE, then release both.
- Confirm the jog and exit programming.
Set Vane Open Position
The vanes open position should be reset when:
The vanes don’t open fully, limiting visibility or natural light.
The angle of the vanes does not match other nearby shades.
The shade opens, but the vane rotation stops short of the desired open position.
Customer preference: They want more light or a better view-through
Use this to fine-tune how far open the vanes appear when tilted.
- Confirm shade manufacture date matches supported range.
- Enter programming mode and move the vanes to the desired open position.
- Follow the same procedure as Set Vane Closed Position, substituting OPEN for CLOSE.
