Summary:
Duplicate (clone) a Legacy PowerView® remote so a second remote (or PowerView® Surface) controls the same shades and groups.
Applies To:
Duette®, EasyView® Arch
Identify the source remote that already operates your shades (the one originally programmed after install).
Identify the target remote (or Surface) that does not yet control those shades.
On the target remote, press and hold RESET for 6 seconds, then release. Use a paper clip through the back access hole to reach the recessed button. The 1–6 group buttons flash twice on press, then three times at 6 seconds.
Note: If there’s no access hole, remove the back cover and use a ballpoint pen to press and hold the internal reset for 6 seconds. Reinstall the cover so the batteries don’t fall out.
On the source remote, press and hold STOP until the backlit buttons blink to enter program mode.
Tip: Program mode stays active for about 20 seconds after each command. If it times out, press and hold STOP again.
On the target remote, press and hold ALL.
While still holding ALL on the target, press and release STOP on the source remote.
Confirm duplication: the 1–6 group buttons on the target flash twice, indicating the source’s group programming copied over. Release ALL on the target.
On the source remote, press and hold STOP for 6 seconds to exit program mode (or wait ~20 seconds for the lights to stop).
Test both remotes. Each should now control the same shades and groups. Future changes made on one will be reflected on the other.
If buttons don’t blink:
Replace batteries in both remotes and retry.
Repeat step 3 to confirm the target is factory reset.
Repeat step 4 to re-enter program mode on the source.
If duplication fails:
Repeat steps 5–7 within the 20-second program window.
Move remotes closer together and away from large metal objects.
Repeat step 3 (reset target) and try again.
