When to Adjust Shade Limits
- The shade stops above or below your desired position
- The vanes are misaligned when fully open or closed
- Bottom rail docks too tightly or not fully
- Vane articulation appears uneven across shades
Before You Begin
- Confirm the shade's manufacture date matches your instructions
- Ensure the remote is joined to the shade and functioning
- Perform a 6-second calibration reset (hold programming button until jog)
- Enter programming mode by holding STOP for 6 seconds (blinking lights)
- Replace remote batteries if the lights are not blinking
Set or Adjust Top Limit
For Shades Manufactured After August 14, 2018
- Select the group number the shade is joined to.
- Hold the programming button (max 5 sec), press and release OPEN, then release the button.
- Shade enters fine adjustment (LED solid red).
- Use OPEN, STOP, and CLOSE to adjust to the desired top position.
- Enter programming mode (hold STOP for 6 sec).
- Confirm new limit:
- Press and release OPEN (LED turns off, shade jogs)
- For shades made after Oct 14, 2019: skip the programming button
- Exit programming (hold STOP or let it time out)
Note: This video shows the process on a Designer Roller Shade, but the steps will be the same for a Pirouette shade.
For Shades Manufactured Before August 14, 2018
- Run the shade to the current top limit.
- Ensure no group numbers are selected.
- Hold programming button (max 5 sec), press and release OPEN, then release.
- Shade jogs to confirm the limit is cleared.
- Move to new top position using OPEN, STOP, CLOSE.
- Enter programming mode (hold STOP for 6 sec).
- Confirm new limit using OPEN (shade jogs).
- Exit programming.
Clear Electronic Top Limit
- Run the shade to the current top limit.
- Ensure no group numbers are selected.
- Hold programming button (max 5 sec), press and release OPEN, then release.
- Shade jogs to confirm.
- Hold the programming button for 6 seconds to start calibration.
- Let the shade fully cycle through upper and lower limits.
Set Vane Closed Position (Bottom Limit)
For Shades Manufactured After August 14, 2018
- Select the group number the shade is joined to.
- Hold programming button (max 5 sec), press and release CLOSE, then release.
- Shade enters fine adjustment (LED red).
- Use OPEN, STOP, and CLOSE to set the vane closed position.
- Enter programming mode (hold STOP for 6 sec).
- Confirm the new limit:
- Press and release CLOSE (shade jogs, LED off)
- For shades after Oct 14, 2019: no programming button needed
- Exit programming.
Set Vane Open Position
For Shades Manufactured After August 14, 2018
- Select the group number.
- Hold programming button (max 5 sec), press and release CLOSE, then release.
- Shade enters fine adjustment (LED red).
- Use OPEN, STOP, and CLOSE to fine-tune the vane open position.
- Enter programming mode (hold STOP for 6 sec).
- Confirm the new limit:
- Press and release CLOSE (shade jogs, LED off)
- After Oct 14, 2019: skip programming button
- Exit programming.
