Remove the Shade
Lower the shade about 4″.
While holding the headrail, push back on the bottom tab of the installation bracket to release the bottom edge of the headrail.
Roll the back of the headrail downward and out from the bracket.
Replace Cord Loop
Note: Replacement cord loops are only available in white and off-white.
After uninstalling the shade, remove the end cap from the control side of the headrail.
Remove the old cord loop and sprocket, if still in place.
Insert the sprocket into the clutch, turning it until it seats fully.
Insert the cord between two sprocket teeth and pull to guide the loop around the gear.
Ensure one strand of the cord is in the large slot and the other in the small slot.
Hold the clutch and clutch cover so the cords do not cross.
Slide the cord guide into the slot in the clutch cover.
Check all four tabs holding the clutch cover to ensure they are securely latched.
Seat the entire clutch assembly fully against the headrail.
Reinstall the Shade
Fit the front channel on top of the headrail onto the front lip of the installation brackets.
Push the headrail up and back until it snaps into place.
-
Check that the headrail is securely seated in all brackets:
The bottom of the headrail should be snapped into the base of each bracket.
The front lip of the bracket should be locked into the front channel of the headrail.
If any brackets are not seated correctly, release the shade and reinstall.
Level the Bottom Rail (If Necessary)
Over time, the bottom rail of your shade may become slightly uneven due to use or installation. The EasyAdjust™ key lets you fine-tune each side of the rail to ensure your shade hangs level and looks its best. To use the EasyAdjust™ key follow the steps below.
- Lift the bottom rail and locate the adjustment pockets on the underside.
-
Insert a 7/64" Allen wrench (EasyAdjust™ key) into a pocket.
- The key is fully inserted when the ring on the key presses firmly against the pocket opening.
- Note: The key must be fully seated to avoid stripping the mechanism.
- If there are more than two pockets, adjust the outer pockets first. Then adjust the inner pockets as needed to maintain even tension.
- Slightly lift the bottom rail before turning the key.
-
Turn clockwise to raise that side of the rail, or counterclockwise to lower it.
- One-quarter turn equals approximately 1/4 inch of movement.
-
Raise and lower the shade after each adjustment to check for level alignment.
- Note: Do not pull down on the rail while turning the key.
Additional Notes
- For Top-Down/Bottom-Up shades, the adjustment pockets are located on the top side of the middle rail.
- For Duolite® shades, the middle rail pockets are found at the ends of the middle rail, inside the top cell of the lower fabric panel.

Attach Universal Cord Tensioner
- Slide the cord tensioner to the bottom of the cord loop.
- Insert a small screwdriver or similar tool through the screw hole at the base.
- Move the screw hold-down tot to the indicator line to release the safety mechanism.
- Secure the tensioner at the bottom of the loop per the Universal Cord Tensioner Installation Kit.
Caution: The shade will not operate unless the cord tensioner is secured. Proper installation is critical to reduce child-strangulation risk.
