Summary:
If your Silhouette® or Nantucket™ shading has a light block strip installed at the top, use these steps to remove it safely.

Insert a small flat-blade screwdriver between the headrail and the end cap on one side to create a slight gap.
Note: Only open the gap about ¼ inch. Do not pull the end cap off or push it farther back than needed.
Grasp the light block strip with your fingers or a pair of needle-nose pliers.
Pull the strip out carefully until it is completely removed.
Tap the end cap firmly back into place so it sits flush against the headrail.
