Identify Bracket Style
Silhouette® and Nantucket™ shadings with LiteRise® have used four types of installation brackets over time. Brackets 1–3 are discontinued. Bracket 4 (part number KIT9125) fits all headrails, regardless of manufacture date, and can be ordered at parts.hunterdouglas.com.
Remove or Uninstall Shading
If you need to uninstall your shade, you’ll need to safely remove it from the headrail. Follow the appropriate method based on your bracket type.
Bracket 1 (Pre-1998)
Lower the shading at least halfway.
Locate the release tab between the front of the headrail and the fabric roll.
Insert a flathead screwdriver behind the locking tab and twist gently.
Pull the headrail toward you to release it.
Bracket 2 (1998–August 2009)
Fully raise the shading.
Locate the locking tab at the top of the bracket.
Insert a flat object such as a credit card under the tab.
While supporting the headrail, lift upward to release the shading.
Pull the headrail toward you to remove it.
Bracket 3 (Sept. 2009–March 2018)
Bracket 4 (April 2018–Present)
The removal method is the same for both brackets. Bracket 3 is plastic. Bracket 4 is metal.
Fully raise the shading.
Move the bracket lever to the left to release the headrail. Use your finger or a flathead screwdriver.
If the lever is inaccessible, lower the shade slightly. Use a small screwdriver to push the bottom-side release tab.
Pull the headrail toward you to remove it.
Tip: Always support the fabric while removing the shading to avoid damage.
Replace Handle
Remove one bottom rail end cap. Either side is acceptable.
On the same side, use a flathead screwdriver to release the cam lock of the weight clip.
Slide the handle off the bottom rail.
Slide the new handle onto the rail.
Secure the new handle by aligning it next to the fabric guard and locking it with the second weight clip.
Reinsert the bottom rail end cap.
Adjust A Deux™ Upper Limit
This adjustment is only for A Deux™ shades. If the room-darkening fabric does not roll fully into the headrail or is unresponsive, it may have flipped out of position. Use the following method to realign the fabrics.
Thread the handle between the rotator and headrail.
From the back, thread the handle between the Silhouette® shading and the room-darkening fabric.
Gently pull the handle downward to re-engage both fabric layers.
Raise and lower the shading to confirm alignment is restored.
