Adjust Spring Tension (LiteRise Only)
If your Sonnette® LiteRise™ shade raises or lowers too quickly or unevenly, you may need to adjust the spring tension.
Remove the end cap cover by placing your thumb in the center and releasing the snap at the top-back corner.
Raise the shade completely and hold it in place.
-
Insert a 3⁄16" Allen wrench into the access hole on the end cap, pushing at least ½ inch until you feel resistance.
Rotate the wrench in half-turn increments:
Turn counter-clockwise to add tension
Turn clockwise to reduce tension
Test the shade, and repeat if needed.
To finish, pull the Allen wrench straight out to re-engage the lock.
Replace the end cap cover.
Caution: Do not overtighten. Excessive tension may damage internal parts.
Adjust Bottom Rail Weight (LiteRise Only)
If the shade rolls unevenly or the bottom rail appears crooked when fully raised, adjusting the internal weight can help rebalance the fabric.
Locate the weight locks on the back of the bottom rail.
Insert a flathead screwdriver and slide the locks outward to release the weight.
Move the weight 1 inch at a time toward the side where the fabric is gathering.
Lower the shade completely and check for level.
If needed, adjust again.
Once even, slide the locks back into place next to the weight.
Important: Only adjust the weight if the shade does not roll evenly into the headrail.
Repair Service Eligibility
Due to complex components, Sonnette® repairs must be handled by a professional. The only supported in-home repairs are for Sonnette® with LiteRise™, which allows spring tension and bottom rail weight adjustments.
