Adjust Shade Level
If your shade appears uneven when lowered, a minor cord adjustment may correct the issue. This is the only leveling fix approved for in-home adjustment and is applicable to EasyRise™, UltraGlide®, and LiteRise®.
- Fully lower the shade.
- Check if the bottom bar is level:
- If not level, the shade must be returned to the factory for repair.
- If the level is reached, proceed to inspect the cords.
- Locate the clear stop balls and metal O-rings on the back of the shade.
- Compare the spacing between the stop balls and O-rings:
- If the spacing is uneven, gently pull the cord out of the stop ball.
- Retie the knot so all cords have equal slack.
- Raise and lower the shade to test alignment.
Note: If this does not resolve the issue, the rings may be unevenly placed. Ring replacement and restringing are not approved in-home repairs due to safety and quality standards.
Replace Universal Cord Tensioner
- Slide the cord tensioner to the bottom of the cord loop.
- Insert a small screwdriver or similar tool through the screw hole at the base.
- Move the screw hold-down tot to the indicator line to release the safety mechanism.
- Secure the tensioner at the bottom of the loop per the Universal Cord Tensioner Installation Kit.
Caution: The shade will not operate unless the cord tensioner is secured. Proper installation is critical to reduce child-strangulation risk.
Repair Service Eligibility
Most mechanical issues, fabric misalignment, and operational concerns with Provenance® Woven Wood Shades require tools, parts, or rework not suitable for in-home service.
Because of the product’s specialized construction, we recommend contacting your original dealer for support. Many issues involve professional disassembly or fabric repair that should not be attempted at home.
Valance styles and internal mechanisms may also affect service eligibility. Some older components such as rollers, clutches, and discontinued valance designs are now considered obsolete and are no longer supported.
