Level the Moving Rail
If the moving rail on your SkyLift™ shade is noticeably uneven, this repair may help realign it using the built-in leveling system.
- Raise the moving rail approximately 12" above the bottom rail.
- Check whether the moving rail is level across both sides.
- Remove the bottom rail cover to expose the locking collars.
- Use a 5/64” Allen wrench to loosen the locking collar on the side that needs adjustment.
- Slide the leveling socket off the drive shaft.
- Manually raise or lower the moving rail on that side until level.
- Slide the leveling socket back onto the shaft and tighten the locking collar.
- Operate the shade to verify alignment.
- Repeat if needed, then reinstall the bottom rail cover.
Tip: Use a laser or bubble level to check accuracy during and after adjustment.
Caution: Do not force components or overtighten collars. Overtightening may damage gear alignment.
Repair Service Eligibility
While some maintenance tasks, like leveling the moving rail, can be handled at home with basic tools and care, other types of repairs for Duette® and Applause® Manual SkyLift™ shades are more complex and must be completed by a qualified repair professional.
Repairs that may be available include replacing the headrail or bottom rail, replacing the motor, and servicing internal headrail components.
