Replace Battery Wand
If the shade is unresponsive, batteries may be depleted. Replacing the battery wand restores power.
Standard Battery Wand (bottom rail mounted):
- Raise the shade using the remote.
-
If the remote does not work, gently lift the moving rail by hand using two padded straight edges (such as wrapped credit cards) under each end. Do not lift more than 6 inches.
- Remove the bottom rail cover.
-
Unplug the power cable and remove the battery wand.
- Open the wand and insert 16 AA Energizer® Ultimate Lithium batteries, following the orientation label inside the wand.
-
Reinstall the wand, plug in the cable, and reattach the bottom rail cover.
- Note: Take care not to pinch the cable when reseating the wand.
Satellite Battery Pack (rear-mounted):
- Remove the battery wand cover.
- Unplug the power cable and remove the wand from the wall bracket.
- Open the wand and insert 12 AA Energizer® Ultimate Lithium batteries, following the label instructions.
-
Reinstall the wand, plug in the cable, and close the cover.
- Tip: Rechargeable wands are supported only with Hunter Douglas charging options.
